If my dog already had x-rays, why might you need to take new ones?

  • Orthopedic radiographs are incredibly precise and require many details
  • We use pre-surgical planning for every TPLO to ensure consistency intra-operatively
    • Requires a radiographic marker to calibrate the x-ray

I came as a referral from my regular practice, can I come on as a regular client?

  • We cannot see you as a regular client
  • We wish to maintain relationships with referring clinics

I have received multiple quotes from other clinics; why is your price so different?

  • There are multiple reasons
  • Dr. Aziz is extremely passionate about orthopedics and wants to keep prices affordable so that all animals can receive excellent care
  • We are not a large referral hospital and do not have the overhead they do
  • While our staff is dedicated and highly trained and competent, we do not have the staffing expenses and other costs associated with running an emergency and multi-specialty referral facility
  • We are independently owned and can maintain lower pricing as a result
  • We typically use Movora equipment and plating systems for TPLO procedures, we take pride in using exceptionally high-quality materials

Is Dr. Aziz a board-certified surgeon?

  • Dr. Aziz is not a board-certified surgeon, he has not completed a residency and the credentialing process associated with becoming board-certified
  • Dr. Aziz has completed many courses and certificates in orthopedics

What will a TPLO recovery typically look like?

  • Recovery will take 12 weeks or so until the patient is allowed to resume regular activity
  • Every patient is different, and this will be discussed in full at the time of the appointment and surgery
  • Every patient will be discharged with a detailed post-op instructions sheet

What size of patients are you able to treat with a TPLO?

  • All sizes can be treated with TPLO but there are always exceptions
  • We take pride in customizing the treatment according to the patient’s needs

What does the day of surgery look like?

  • A staff member will call the day before to confirm appointment and discuss drop off time and fasting instructions
  • You will drop off your pet in the morning
  • Your pet will be discharged later that day after we ensure that they have recovered well from surgery
