He successfully completed courses in the University of Calgary with certifications in Small Animal Surgery, Small Animal Anesthesia and Small Animal Medicine. His interest in surgery (Small Animal Orthopedic & Soft Tissue Repair) allows Dr. Aziz to offer compassionate care to your pets. Dr. Aziz has great experience with emergency soft tissue procedures. You can be confident that your pets will have excellent care.

Dr. Nicholas Snieder

Dr. Nick graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2014 and was happy to return to St. Catharines where he was born and raised. Dr. Nicks passion for helping animals started when he was much younger; growing up in a house filled with cats and dogs. Since then his love for pets has only grown and he felt that Veterinary Medicine would be a way that he could tie his love for medicine and pet care together. Dr. Nick is very passionate about Dermatology and Parasitology.

Throughout his time at the Ontario Veterinary College Dr. Nick volunteered with the Pet Loss Support Hotline, which is a service that grieving pet owners can utilize if they need someone to talk to. During this time, it solidified his awareness of the human-animal bond, and the importance and impact that pets have on peoples lives. As such, Dr. Nick views every patient as a member of the family and treats them as though they were his own.

Dr. Haidy Habib

Dr. Haidy Habib is a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (D.V.M.) who has been with the Dog and Cat Clinic of Niagara since May of 2021. Before that, she worked at Beattie Pet Hospital for 3 years. She earned her degree from Cairo University in 2000 and started her career in Egypt. She then moved to Kuwait and lived there for 13 years with her husband who works as a physician there. They have two sons together. She moved to Canada in 2016 and worked on qualifying her certificates to get her license from the OVC in 2018.
She has a passion for internal medicine and dermatology.
She loves her dog Zeus and sees his eyes in all the pets she treats.
She is a people-oriented veterinarian who has developed a very strong bond with her clients.
She loves helping animals and teaching pet owners about preventative health care so they can enjoy long, healthy relationships with their beloved pets.
Outside of work, she enjoys volunteering with her church, at senior homes, and helping the homeless.

Cathrine Aziz

My name is Cathrine and I love my job as the manager very much. A little background about myself, I have a Bachelor’s degree in tourism and hotels at the Alexandria University. Previously worked as a supervisor with the Turkish Airline. I have two sons Kyrillos and Karas who are my world and whom I love very much. I’m incredibly thankful for them and how supportive they are. I also have a cat named Kito, he’s a great addition to the family and the kids absolutely love him.

Ultimately, I cannot express how much I love working with animals, it’s always been a passion of mine. When clients bring in their furbabies, I instantly fall in love with each and everyone of them.

Deirdre (RVT)

I grew up always wanting to work with animals and to have plenty of my own. I always dreamed of working in the veterinary field every since I was young, either as a veterinarian or a registered vet technician! I studied Bio-Medical Sciences at the University of Guelph and I am looking forward to learning more and gaining more experience. I have been around animals for most of my life, with horseback riding and working with Arabian Horses for several years and having a 10-year-old Border Collie myself.

I absolutely love working with all animals and look forward to meeting everyone and their pets!

Kim (RVT)

I was a receptionist elsewhere for 20 years and I realized that this just wasn’t the career for me. I took the leap in 2019 to go back to school. Before I made my final decision I started volunteering at the Dog and Cat Clinic of Niagara which confirmed my plans. I am currently in my 2nd year of the Veterinary Technician program at Sheridan College where I will graduate in April of 2021, then hoping to get my RVT status. I grew up bringing injured animals home to nurse back to health, which probably drove my Dad crazy! It just made more sense that I work in the field that started it all. I just adore taking care of animals and I have a cat named Lincoln and dog Hunter who I adopted both early 2020. I also have 4 children so my fur babies get a lot of love and are just like my children.  Changing my career has been one of the best decisions of my life as I have a true passion for taking care of everyone else’s fur babies!

Erin

I have always had a love for all animals, particularly dogs, cats and horses. I have had dogs and cats my whole life and I have always considered them to be my family members and my fur babies. I know what a big role our pets have in our lives, and I am so lucky to meet and care for all the different cats and dogs that come to the clinic. My background is Veterinary Assistant and Veterinary Office Admin through Sheridan College. In my spare time I love to hike with my dog, snuggle with our family cats and horseback ride.

Connie

I love helping people and I love animals so working at a vet clinic is a perfect fit for me. I understand how important animals are in life. They are friends, family, kids, and confidants. They are a huge part of our lives and add laughter and love to every day.

Ashlen

I have always had a passion for animals, growing up I had so many different of species which grew my love stronger. I graduated from the vet assistant course at Georgian College Orillia in 2015. I ended up going back to school at Brock university for a major in honours medical science and a minor in classics. Even though my schooling was directed in human medicine field, I ended up back with my true passion for animals.

Mayze

I find joy in the outdoors, exploring nature’s wonders through hikes, camping trips, and outdoor adventures. I have always been passionate about animals and caring for them whether it be companion animals or wildlife. I love cherishing every moment spent with my boy Stormi!

Bowtie

Bowtie is our official greeter! He came to the clinic when he was 4 months old and has lived here ever since! When Dr. Aziz bought the clinic in March of 2015 he was very shy and didn’t like when there were a lot of people around, and would most likely be found hiding in the back or taking a nap. Now you’ll find him up on the counter just waiting to greet clients!

Fun Facts about Bowtie 🎀 :

  • Hates to be picked up
  • Loves all food – especially treats (will never turn down a treat)
  • Loves chin and bum scratches
  • Doesn’t make friends easily (especially hyper dogs) but once you’re a friend you’re a friend for life ♥

Coyote

Coyote is our official clinic mascot! Coyote came to us about 10 years ago. She was brought here by a family that saw her chased into their barn by a pack of coyotes! She was a wild and aggressive girl.  After months of caring for her and earning each others trust, she became an obvious member of the team and we could never part with her. Although she still had an attitude some days, we were very lucky and fortunate to have her here with us.

Unfortunately, we did have to say goodbye to our lovely Coyote in June 2019, we will miss her but her memory will live on forever at the Dog and Cat Clinic of Niagara
